1. Be careful of the low-price trap. The price of LED light sources varies greatly. The price of LEDs with the same color and brightness can vary several times. This gap is mainly reflected in the performance of LED reliability, light decay, and appearance technology. Low-priced LEDs have small chip sizes, rough electrodes, poor materials (phosphor powder and glue), poor current resistance, poor temperature and humidity changes, fast light decay, and short life, so blindly pursuing low prices may not be worth the candle.

2. Recognize relevant standards. From a safety point of view, products should comply with relevant international and national standards. Since LED is a new product, China's national standard lags behind, and only product qualification testing is provided. Therefore, international safety certification (such as GS, CE, UL, etc.) is the standard to measure the quality of LED lights. There are not many manufacturers who have both international safety certification and national product quality certificates. It is necessary to carefully identify the authenticity of the certificates when purchasing. Products with international safety certification are generally more expensive.
3. Choose LED lights with constant current power supply. The prices of resistors, capacitors, ICs and other components of LED drive power supply vary greatly. The scheme adopted by the entire power supply and the rationality of the circuit design will directly affect the quality of the product. Some driving power supplies are only constant voltage, but not constant current, while LED lamps must be constant current to better ensure quality and service life. Therefore, this point needs extra attention when purchasing, especially for high-power LED lights.
